Privacy policy

Information made public

VETO publishes only the statement text, the public name you choose or Anonymous, an optional public URL you choose, action names, public action identities, timestamps, durations, status, and derived public totals. Do not put an email address, phone number, private address, or other private information in a statement or public identity.

Information kept private

Payment details and payment email are handled by the eventual approved payment provider and are not published by VETO. Abuse reports may include optional contact information; it is private operational data and is not shown on the public wall.

Operations and telemetry

We collect limited operational events such as visits, statement views, shares, checkout attempts, moderation decisions, webhook errors, conflicts, and refunds. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the experiment. Abuse and rate-limit controls may retain one-way hashes of request identifiers rather than raw values.

Retention and requests

Statements and paid-action history are intended to remain as permanent public records, except when a statement is marked MODERATED. Operational, report, and security records are retained only as needed for safety, fraud prevention, support, accounting, and legal obligations.

For a statement concern, use the report-abuse route. Do not include payment credentials or other sensitive information in a report.
